Hewlett-Packard, a leader in mission critical server industry, is expanding X86-based mission critical product lines; and is looking for talents that can play a solid role in delivering quality solutions to its customers. In the modern large-scale computing, whether it is cloud computing, virtualization, or blade servers, it requires serious features at the firmware level to enable business critical features.  Firmware has gone beyond a basic feature for booting up the computer. For enterprise level servers/blades, these features require software/hardware architecture, software engineering, and testing methodology/process/execution.

This position provides:

Responsibilities:
As a quality engineer, you will be working closely with other firmware developers and quality engineers globally to ensure the qualify of firmware developed.

You will be using your creativity in enhancing the test plans and test suites, and focus on execution of test cases. In addition, you will be participate in problem isolation for challenging complex x86-based systems.

Qualifications(Would like to have):
1.  Familiar with software/firmware testing methodology and hands-on experience and development techniques and tool sets for test tools and automation.
2.  Knowledge of computer architecture, x86 architecture, and OS architecture.
3.  Linux/UNIX/Windows QA experience
4.  Knowledgeable in large scale servers
5.  Knowledge of industry standards including ACPI, USB, SMBIOS, UEFI, and PCI/PCI-express.
6.  Knowledgeable in virtualization technology
